The Firestarters are for 1st graders who are interested in learning the sport and having fun. Basic skills are taught (passing, throwing, catching, cradling, scooping). Firestarters practice on Saturdays for 60 minutes. The first 20 minutes is instructional, and the last 40 minutes we scrimmage in a modified game format. Because we are one of the only clubs on the Peninsula with a 1st grade team, we sometimes have difficulty scheduling games. Instead, we sometimes have intersquad scrimmages, and will play other teams in the East Bay and North Bay in the year end "Bobblehead" jamboree.
