Firehawks Lacrosse Club

It is a great honor and pleasure to announce the players from the Firehawks who were selected for the U13 and U15 NORCAL Travel Teams.   In total, 9 Firehawks players were selected - the most from any single club in the NCJLA.

On January 12-13, the Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association (NCJLA) conducted a very extensive and intense two-day try out.  Around 175 players from 10 or more different lacrosse clubs tried out for 4 travel teams – the U13 Vail and Festival teams, and the U15 Vail and Festival teams.   A committee of 12 well known area coaches and evaluators picked the teams, which was a very difficult process given the high talent level among the players.

In June, the Vail teams will travel to Vail, CO for the Vail Lacrosse Tournament, the U13 Festival team will play in the US Lacrosse Jamboree in Ohio, and the U15 Festival team will play in the US Lacrosse Jamboree in New York.  It’s a huge honor to represent both NorCal and the Firehawks.

All of the Firehawk players really turned some heads, both for the effort on the field, and for their behavior and sportsmanship off the field.  Great job guys.
