Ireland Tour

Dublin-Galway-Cork-Limerick

Dates:  July 8-18

Day 1- July 8

*Fly from SFO- Dublin Ireland

 

Day 2- July 9

·      Morning- Arrive in Dublin, get rental cars, check in to lodging

·      Afternoon- Nap and down time

·      Night- Urban hike to traditional Irish dinner and live Irish music

                                              

Day 3- July 10

·       Morning- Experience Gaelic Games!- Learn the history of the Irish sporting traditions of hurling, handball and football, while trying each one out at a traditional Irish Club with local experts.

·      Afternoon- Practice

·      Night- Urban hike to traditional Irish dinner and live Irish music

 

Day 4- July 11

·      Morning-  Practice

·      Afternoon- Kayaks + Music- A guided tour on kayaks through the City on the River Liffer. The tour will stop under famous bridges though out the city, where an Irish Band that is following on a boat will play music under the acoustics of the bridges  for us throughout the adventure.

·      Night- Go see a live soccer, hurling, or Rugby game 

 

Day 5- July 12

·      Morning- Sleep In. Urban hike and gift shopping opportunity.

·      Afternoon- Travel to Limerick. Check into lodging.

·      Night- Practice.

 

Day 6-9-  July 13-17 (World Lacrosse Festival)

We will stay in Limerick at University of Limerick. Eat breakfast and dinner on campus.  We will most likely have atleast 1 game a day in the U19 division of the tournament. On any days we do not have a game, we will have practice.  Depending on our game schedule, we will fill in some days with an added activity in Limerick or surrounding regions. Some options are:

  • Surfing one of the cliffy  West Coast surfing beaches in Ireland, famous for its waves, views, and beach towns. .

  • Hike the famous Cliffs of Moher- the 700 ft cliffs that are one of the country’s photographed attractions

  • Cultural trip to  Galway- visit one of the most historically rich cities in Ireland.

  • Mountain Biking in the Dingle Peninsula- hit the trails of one of the most beautiful stretches of Ireland’s famed hilly coast.

  • Cultural trip to Cork- walk around one of the architecturally rich city of Cork and tour some of its incredible churches, castles, and bridges.

 

Day 10- July 18

·      Morning- spectate the U19 Championships.

·      Afternoon-  spectate the U19 Championships. Drive back to Dublin. Check into lodging

·      Night- Last night of the trip. Final dinner to celebrate an incredible week. 

 

Day 11- July 19

·      FLY BACK TO SFO
